Accounts: Call your library or use our contact us form if you have questions or problems with your account.
Arts and Cultural Activities Passes: Access free and discounted passes to arts and cultural organizations on the smARTpass website with your library card. Passes aren't available at the library.
Borrowing and Renewing Materials including MNLINK (interlibrary loan)
Copiers: All libraries have copiers. It's $.15 per page for B/W and $.50 per page for color.
Computers: We have free public computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office 2019 (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word) at all libraries.
Faxing: As of January 1, 2025, faxing is free at all libraries.
Getting Material from Other Libraries (Inter-Library Loan): MNLINK (Inter-Library Loan) lets you request materials that are older than a year that are not in our catalog.
Library Job Openings: Any current openings are on the Carver County Job Opportunities page.
Library Cards: You can apply online, and it will be mailed out.
Library Events: Events are listed on our calendar, you can also sign up for our eNewsletter for more information.
Meeting Rooms: Chanhassen and Norwood Young America Library have meeting rooms that can be reserved. Chaska study rooms can also be reserved.
Notary Services: Notary public services are available at Chaska Library on a walk-in basis at the information desk most days. The process takes around 15 minutes.
- Hours for notary service are most Mondays through Thursdays 10 am to 7:30 pm, Fridays 10 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturdays 10 am to 2:30 pm.
- We recommend calling (952) 303-0402 x 2 to see if staff are available for this service before you go in.
- You'll need proper identification to complete the service such as a valid passport, driver's license or government-issued nondriver identification card, or someone who knows you that has one of these IDs.

- We are unable to notarize wills, estates, or trusts.
Printing: Printing $.15 per page for B/W and $.50 per page for color. You can print from our computers at all libraries or mobile print at any location.
Research: Access journal and newspaper articles and more on our online resources page.
Scanning: All libraries have free scanners.
Study Rooms: Study room/s are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Chanhassen, Norwood Young America, and Waconia Libraries. They can be reserved at Chaska Library. Chanhassen has a study room for teenagers available during the after-school hours. There are additional study spaces within the library.
Wireless Internet Access (WiFi): Free WiFi is available at all libraries. We also have mobile WiFi hotspots that can be checked out.
Please note proctoring is not available at any location.
Notary service is only available at Chaska Library (see above for details).
