The Carver County Library System is a service of Carver County government in collaboration with your local city government and the Library Board of Trustees.
You can access your library account from any device that has internet access. And all you need is a computer with internet access and your library card to:
- Reserve, request, borrow, and renew materials.
- Access thousands of magazine, newspaper, and encyclopedia articles to print, save, and share.
- Chat live with a librarian for research and resource help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Get interactive, expert help with homework and jobs.
- Request a meeting room reservation at Chanhassen Library
- Request homebound delivery.
- Access free and discounted passes to arts and cultural organizations via smARTpass.

At the Library
Public Computers: All libraries have free to use public computers with Internet access and Office 2010 with Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word. There is a charge for printing ($.15 per page black and white, $.50 per page for color).
Computing Devices: Victoria Library has iPads you can check out to use inside the library and Waconia Library has Chromebooks you can check out and use inside the library. Contact them for more information.
Wireless Internet Access: WiFi is available at all Carver County Libraries during open hours. The wireless network is CarverPublicWiFi. A wireless password is necessary to access the wireless network and changes monthly. Currently wireless printing from laptop computers is available at all library locations, and the Victoria Library also has printing available for mobile devices.
Copiers: Copy machines are available at all libraries. The cost is $.15 per page for black-and-white copies and $.50 per page for color copies.
Faxing: Fax machines for public use are available with the assistance of a staff member. The cost is $.50 per page (the cover page is free).
Scanning: All libraries have scanners that the public can use. There is no charge to scan, but please bring a USB drive to save your files.
Meeting Rooms: You can fill in an application to reserve meeting rooms at the Chanhassen Library for your meeting or event. Please read the meeting room policy and guidelines and costs before booking the room.
Study Rooms: Study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Chanhassen, Chaska and Waconia Libraries. There are additional study spaces, too.
