As a rule, we will not disclose any personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, consistent with our professional confidentiality obligations. However, upon your request, we will disclose information about you, and we may be required by law to disclose personal information about you, as, for example, in response to a subpoena or other court order.
On occasion Carver County Library may request an e-mail address or other information for business purposes and the provision of services. Carver County Library will not share such information with third parties except as necessary in the ordinary course of responding to business communications, will not send unsolicited e-mail, and will not sell, rent or otherwise distribute visitor information, including e-mail addresses, to any outside company or organization without first obtaining the visitor’s consent or unless required to do so pursuant to federal or state law, including but not limited to the Public Records Act, or court order.
