Here's how to participate:
 
Win gift cards or other prizes — For every book read over the summer, teens can enter the Best Book Ever drawing and will have an opportunity to win a Barnes and Noble gift card or another prizes. Grab an entry form at your local library or download and print one at home!
 
 

Attend programs — Take a look at the brochure to see what’s at your library or at another Carver County Library. Remember you are welcome to attend programming at any of our Carver County Library locations!

 
Find Awesome Books Discover great books at your library, browse reading lists, and read other reviews online.

Visit the Bookawocky site! The summer reading program is online, you can collect virtual badges for your participation and write your own book reviews. Check it out!
 
 
 
Teen Bookmark Design Contest
 
 


If you like to draw, paint, or create, then this activity is for you!

Design a bookmark that shows your love for books and rading. Each library branch will have a winner who will receive a prize. One Grand Prize winning design will be chosen from the branch library finalists. The winning design will be professional printed as a bookmark and available to the public during Teen Read Month in October. The Grand Prize winner will also receive a framed copy of their bookmark design.

Download and print the official entry form or pick one up at your local library. Entries must be turned in on or before Friday, July 25 to be eligible for the contest. All eligible designs will be displayed for public voting August 5-28, 2015.
 
 
 

Tiny Crawlers and Macro Photo

Learn about ant life )and other tiny crawlers) and how to shoot super close-ups with our cameras. Next, take a

micro-hike outside and photograph the teeny living things that we sometimes walk right by. Cameras are supplied. Ages 12 and up. Registration required. Contact the Victoria Library at ​952-442-3050 to register or register online at the Carver County Library events calendar.
