Carver County Residents
Carver County Library cards are free to all the residents of Carver County with current identification.  For your convenience, always bring your Carver County Library card when you visit the library. You are responsible for materials checked out on your library card. Parents are responsible for all materials borrowed by their children. Report a lost card or change of address immediately.

Twin Cities Metro Area Residents
Residents of all libraries participating in the state regional library system can register and use their library cards at Carver County Libraries.  Bring your library card in with you to any Carver County Library to register.

If you do not have a card, we can take your application for a library card and send it on to your home library system and issue a temporary card, good for checking out 5 items and accessing other library services. Your home library system will send you a permanent card.

Other Minnesota Residents
Most other residents of Minnesota may register and use their library at any Carver County Library.  Bring your library card in to any Carver County Library location.

In accordance with Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, the address, telephone number and birthdate you provide when applying for a library card and any information that links you with the library materials checked out are private. The information may be viewed only by you and library staff who need the information to provide you with library services.
