LIBRARY ACCOUNTS
Patrons have the ability to view a list of library materials checked out on their library card, renew library materials, view materials that they have placed on hold, modify personal information, and pay fines and fees online by logging into My Account.  Patrons need to enter their Last Name, Library Card Number, and a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to access My Account.

PIN NUMBER
Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a number that verifies your identity when you access your library account. Your library PIN may consist of numbers and/or letters. When you apply for a library card, you'll be asked to create a PIN. For your privacy and security, your PIN can be changed after logging into My Account.

You need to know your current PIN to be able to change your PIN online. For security, PINs are encrypted. If you forget your PIN, please contact any Carver County Library to request to have your PIN reset.

If you’ve forgotten your PIN and have an email address in your library record, you can reset you PIN online by selecting Forget Your PIN on the My Account page.  You need to submit your Last Name and Library Card Number, and a link will be sent to the email address in your library record with instructions on resetting your PIN.
 
WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY ACCOUNT?
Your PIN, along with your name and the barcode number on the back of your library card, allows you to access My Account, where you can:

 

  • View your Library account
  • Renew library materials
  • Request library materials
  • Modify personal information
  • Pay your fines and fees online

LIBRARY ACCOUNT
See a list of items currently checked with date due information.

RENEWALS
Renew items online.  Please note that not all library materials can be renewed. 

REQUESTS
Request items on line.  If the requested item is available, it will be held at the hold pick up location designated in your library record.  Items are held for one week.  If an item is checked out, the item will be sent to your designated hold pick up location when it becomes available.  You can also cancel requests online.  The status of your request displays in your library record.

MODIFY PATRON INFORMATION
Library patrons can update their contact information, notice preference, and e-mail address using My Account page.

Library patrons with an e-mail address in their library record receive courtesy notices reminding them of the due date of checked out library materials.  Patrons with email addresses in their library records also receive hold and overdue notification by email.

PAY FINES AND OTHER FEES
Library users can pay their fines and fees online after logging in to My Account.  If you have outstanding fines or other charges, select the amount due to begin the process to Pay Online.
