In order to make it easier for everyone to use this site we have dedicated this page to providing information and techniques for enlarging the font and display size as well as recommendations for easy translation into a broad range of languages.

Controlling Font and Display Size

For PC's

Good News!  Now it's easier than ever to ZOOM in or out on almost any web page when using current versions of the 3 most popular browsers (Internet Explorer, FireFox and Chrome).  All you have to do is open your browser, load a page and roll your mouse button up or down while holding down the control key!

For MAC's

To zoom in on a web page in Safari or Firefox, you use the "command" key and "+" or "-".   If you're using a trackpad on an Apple notebook, you can do a reverse pinch to zoom in as you would on an iPhone or iPad.

Translating Web Pages

Google offers a “Toolbar” that can be added to any of the popular web browsers.  The Google Toolbar provides a great webpage translation function with a single click.

To get started:

1. Visit Google and download the free Toolbar : http://www.google.com/toolbar/ie/install.html
(The link above is for the Microsoft Internet Explorer version of the Toolbar but if you search for “Google Toolbar for Firefox” you’ll be delivered to the appropriate location)

2. Follow the instructions and install the toolbar into your browser.

3. Close your browser and reopen it.

4. To turn on your new Toolbar right click in an empty part of the top menu bar (the blue bar that holds the icons) and select “Google Toolbar” from the options.

5. Now you should see the Toolbar.

6. Click on the “More >>>” and select “Translate” or “Pin all Buttons” to add the TRANSLATE feature to the toolbar.

7. Now visit a website page with a lot of text on it and click “translate” on the Google Toolbar.  Select the language you want the page translated into.  (The next time you translate a page the toolbar will assume you want the same language, but you can change it.)

That’s all there is to adding translations to your browser.
