Bring your plant samples and insect disease questions to any of the Yard & Garden Help Desks. Carver/Scott Master Gardeners will help diagnose problems and answer your yard and garden questions.  Help will be at the Chanhassen, Chaska and Waconia Libraries on Saturdays through August- it's to the left of the door when you come in at Waconia Library.

For plants: Bring a portion about 8-10 inches long and include leaves, flowers and fruits as available.
For lawns: Cut a 3 inch square of sod, including roots.
For insects: Put the specimen in a screw-top jar, and store in freezer to preserve it until you're ready to bring it in.
For insect/disease problems: Note if some or all of your plant is affected, the exact location where on the plant the problem is (branches, inner and/or outer leaves, branches), if it seems to be spreading, and when it started.
